In worship we studied Jesus’ parable about the unforgiving servant. In contrast with the suffering which resulted from the unforgiving servant’s actions, we heard about the life-giving love that came to a young girl named Boun Thorne in the form of a shoebox gift. Both stories helped us to learn more about what it looks like to live out our faith, to live in response to God’s love and mercy for us, and how to live in the church and the Kingdom of God. We are blessed to be blessings to others. Make time in your week to let yourself be aware of God’s love for you. Find a way to share that love with another.
Next Sunday is Laity Sunday. Come to celebrate the ministry of the congregation at Emory.
Blessings on the rest of your week and see you in worship!
