I am glad we got to share the inspiring story of King Josiah and his discovery of God’s Word with each other last week.  Reading scripture has always been an important part of my journey of faith.  It is a blessing to read and study with all of you.  Coast to Coast continues to present us with God’s prophets.  This Sunday we will be listening to Jeremiah.

In response to the pain of our neighbors, please join me and the rest of the Susquehanna Conference of the UMC in this call to continued prayer.
As families, friends, and communities continue to recover in the wake of the shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio, we pray.
We pray for families who are planning funeral services for their beloveds.  We pray for those who were injured and for their recovery.  We pray for those who bear unseen wounds and scars.  We pray for medical professionals who will care for the injured.  We pray for clergy and faith leaders who will care for the grieving and the broken.  We pray for an end to violence and terror.  Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayers.
