This past Sunday we took a look at “The God of Last Words“. We reflected on what David’s last words were and were lead to looking at Jesus’ last words. It is fascinating that Jesus had two different times for last words. The first was when He declared “It is finished!” Dying on the cross Jesus became the final sacrifice for our sins. Jesus made it possible for us to no longer be slaves to sin. We know that Jesus did not stop with dying as he was Resurrected finishing our slavery to death. Just before He ascended Jesus had another time for Last Words. Here He told us to ” … go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
I look forward to seeing you at 9 am for Sunday School and 10 am or 6 pm for worship!
