Last Sunday our Coast to Coast readings took us through the tragic fall of Jerusalem and we experienced the disastrous event with God’s prophets and people. We focused on the book of Lamentations and participated in a special prayer station inspired by what we read there. As a beloved community committed to love of God and neighbor we embraced worship through the offering of laments. We obeyed holy scripture which says “Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.” (Psalm 62:7-9) We sought healing from a God who promises to listen to us and love us.
I am looking forward to worshiping with you on Sunday when we will share communion and explore the message that God has for us from the book of Ezekiel.
Blessings on the rest of your week and see you in worship!
