Welcome to Emory Church, On the Square in New Oxford!

Emory Church is working with God in building a caring community that connects, discovers and serves together!

John Wesley is quoted as saying, “The world is my parish”. With Emory Church being right on the Square in New Oxford, we are blessed to have New Oxford as our parking lot. When you visit us please feel free to park anywhere around the square and the town.  We do reserve space directly in front of Emory for visitors and those who might need to have closer access to us.

Sunday school is held at 9:00 a.m. for all ages with Worship at 10:00 a.m.

Sermon:  Lessons from the Potter's House

Our Scripture focus was Jeremiah 18:1-11

Our takeaways were to:

  • Read Week 33 of Coast to Coast readings.
  • CONNECT with God the responsive artist.
  • DISCOVER the possibility of being reshaped by God.
  • SERVE you neighbors and allow yourself to be formed by the Holy Spirit through the experience.
  • Pray:  Change my heart, O God; may I be like you.

“Yet you, Lord, are our Father.  We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.”  Isaiah 64:8 NIV

Our theme verse is Hebrews 4:12

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Please remember those that are home bound in prayer
